1971 60 hp/1974 hp johnson

does any one know if lower units are interchangeable from 71 60hp to a 74 50hp both are electric shift thanks dmdmach

The 1971 60 hp 3 cylinder is a hydro-electric shift and the 1974 50 hp 2 cylinder is a mechanical shift. They have different mounting bolt patterns and gear ratios.<br /><br />Sorry!
