Ok. *deep breathe* I have a 1971 60hp evinrude 3cylinder 2stroke ob motor. Its been my project for the past two months and since then it has gotten a new starter solenoid, amplifier assembly, spark plugs, wires and finally my golden ticket was a breaker plate I went out of my way to get. "The timing tab off the breaker plate broke off :( " I have swapped out all the breakers and for the most part I'm moments from taking my first boat to the lake. But two wires that pretude from the top of the motor, from the breaker plate, needs to be wired. There's one wire that attaches to my amplifier assembly via the black and white wire and is attached at both ends and is good. What I'm not sure of is where my Second wire, that grounds on the motor block then goes to breaker plate, is attached too. My manual is fuzzy on the subject and my camera isn't cooperating. Hopefully someone can tell me where it attaches. Pictures would be amazing.

Thank you for any help guys.

Black and white wire connects the points to the amplifier. Black wire grounds the breaker plate to the engine block. It is attached by the first screw looking/going clockwise from the plastic wick holder. Was that your question?

Yes it was. Thank you very much. Now if I can just get this dang anti-reversal spring to set in.
