1971 60hp johnsom, hard starting

cold starts up fine and runs good throughout lowrange mid and high range.bring to idle <br />sometimes will stall out,then go to restart,take a while to get running again, is there a proper way to get started again maybe i am doing something wrong, do i squeeze primer bulb again, do i choke it.any input would be greatly appreciated, i am new to this boating stuff. thank you.

If there are no leaks or no restrictions and the fuel pump is working ok you shouldn't have to squeeze the bulb again. as for the choking it again on a warm engine probably not but on this each engine is different because of the carb efficiency and adjustments. Check out your fuel line for no leaks, restrictions and make sure the system is not pulling air thru one of your fuel line connections. If that doesn't take care of it I would clean the carbs.
