Help, I am having some problems with my motor. I had the motor running but the throttle was not very responsive at first. It would chug along roughly and then all the sudden start working correctly then after a few minutes it would die. I have checked for spark and it seems weak to me and now I can't get the motor to fire. Any ideas on what the problem might be? I suspect either the pulse pack or the coil. I Know the Pulse pack supplies the coil with 300 volts of spark and then the coil jumps it up to 2500 or so volts. I hooked up a voltmeter to the PP to coil lead and got some needle sweep as I cranked but not even sure if that test is good enough. Thanks

Howdy, Some Guy.

Go to www.outboardrepairs.com and look up power loss. Use that advice to diagnose your problem.

If that doesn't solve it for you come back and tell us what you have done and what you found.

Good luck. :)
