Heres the rebuild kit I used , 18-7823 Fuel Pump Kit for Johnson/Evinrude 393088, GLM 40810 - Sierra If your motor takes this rebiuld kit and you have a diagram or exploded view of how it goes together PLEASE let me know.......I think it fits motors all the up to 1993 ...but should be same fuel pump I use on my 1971 Evinrude 9.5HP ........Thanks

Marine Engine.com or several others have many year's diagrams available. Here's the link to their fuel pump diagram:

https://www.marineengine.com/parts/johnson-evinrude-parts.php?year=1971&hp=9.5&model=9123R&manufacturer=Evinrude&section=Fuel+Pump

Good Luck, hope you get it back together.

Almost forgot, LeeRoy's Ramblings has lots of info on the small OMC engines. If you're right, and the fuel pump is the same as on slightly newer motors, his article on Carb and Fuel Pump has some good information. Here's the url for that article- the information specific to the fuel pump is at the very end of the article:

http://www.leeroysramblings.com/Johnson_9.9_carb-fuel_pump.htm

And here's a referenced article specific to the fuel pump only:
