1971 Johnson 50ESL71 tilt unit

Does anyone know if a tilt unit off of a 1971 50ESL71 will fit on a Johnson 33hp short shaft 1968 RXL-16 R?

Totally different midsection on the 33 HP motor so not an easy / instant swap over.---------But if you insist and persevere you might be able to adapt something.

Just looking for a simple add-on. A guy had one locally for a decent price, but I think I'll pass. Is there any year/size I should keep my eye out for? Thanks!
