1971 lower end lube

the motor is a 1971 Johnson 50 hp hydro electric shift. I'm trying to find the type "c" lube but nobody within 100 miles carries it anymore. Is there something else that i may use.

You need what OMC/BRP now calls "Premium Blend". A quart is part # 775609.

NAPA Auto Parts Stores are everywhere. They still call theirs Sierra Marine "Type C". Their "Premium" is misleading wording, not the same stuff.

Sierra Marine Type C at NAPA:
18-9620-0 10oz tube
18-9620-2 one quart
18-9620-5 five gallon

Oops...they probably have it here at iboats too. Support our host and buy it here. Same Sierra numbers

thank you for the posts i am going to go ahead and order some from iboats. cause i will need it. but i will run to napa in morning so that i can try it out.
