I saw the other thread on this and decided to start this one. Since changing the alternator belt requires removing two of the engine mounting bolts and a small section of the engine mounting bracket, should this require a recheck of engine alignment? I ask this because there is some clearance in the bolt holes in the removable bracket section, and this clearance seems to allow a variance in engine position during reassembly.

When I aligned my engine last year, very small changes in the setting of the front engine height adjuster made a rather large difference in the fit of the alignment tool.

It is always a good idea to check your alignment when you are doing anything that could affect it. It is too quick and easy to not do it in my opinion.
