Hello! I just acquired this beauty after spending lots of time working on it with my father. I could have easily taken the easy road and bought a new fishing boat but I really wanted something to be proud of. Still have a lot of work to do on it but it but so far it floats and motor runs. I was just wondering what size gas tank this boat had originally. I would greatly appreciate any information you guys have on this boat. Good to see so many enthusiasts on this site. Thanks ahead of time!20210615_120356.jpg

Twin Mirax brand 18 gallon tanks IIRC. In boxes underneath the B2B loungers

That was quick. How do you know this ? Just wondering if you work on boats. Right now I have a 12 gallon above deck tank located in the back of the boat. Wondering if upgrading to a 22 gallon above deck would be a bad idea?

I just noticed yours is an outboard and that may be different. It might have never come with a tank except whatever motor the dealer installed originally... The SC I/O's all had 18 gallon steel tanks under the b2b loungers, or used as pedestal bases in the case of the cabin boats

An extra 10 gallon won't hurt but you are basically doubling the weight.. I'd do an extra 12 gallon on the other side so it's balanced

Yes it is an outboard. I will add another 12 to the other side. Thanks for your help. Greatly appreciated!
