Motor is hard to start, appears to be sparking on both cylinders though using a spark plug checker. Compression is 150/155, I have done the link and sync, but the motor just wont idle. I tried to set this though with the remote control attached and I think I need to disengage that and set it manually by hand. Going by the manual, the throttle plates just begin to start moving when the cam roller is centered on the mark on the throttle do-hickey. At WOT, the carb pins are fully vertical.

When I can get it started, it surges at throttle. kind of lopes actually, but surge would be another word for it. I have cleaned the carbs and feel reasonably good about them. They were spotless to begin with and are still clean. I've read the multitude of posts about making sure the 3 small holes are clean and they do appear to be.

I have an extra power pack and 2 extra coils, basically a complete separate electronics subsystem for this motor, however, the spark plug wires are wrapped in a rubber sheet and tied off, so I cannot tell how good they really are. My lower coil, while it shows spark, has a crack in the plastic as well.

I'm running a 50:1 mix with fresh gas. The most worriesome part is that it can be difficult to start. It wants to fire off, but will start/stop a few times before it actually takes off which doesn't seem normal to me. I wonder if I'm flooding it. The screws are set at 5/8 turn out and I have tried in a 1/8 turn and out another 1/8 turn without much difference
