1972 65hp johnny spark issue

my well mate has been having a issue with his 65hp johnny..its seems to be intermittent yesterday zero spark in all 3 cylinders..today fires right up no issues and runs like a dream..this has happened before ....also i have no clue where to start on this year motor..anyone have the same issues thanks

You may want to buy an OEM Factory service manual and go from there. They have very good trouble shooting procedures in them.
