I have the said motor. I have always had this, well almost like a miss when idling. I noticed the other day when I inspected the points that they were not making contact even. Like it was cut at 30 deg angle on the adjustment screw.
My understanding of points is that the whole point need to make 100% even contact.
My question is could this be causing the problem? I know it not right.
Also, why do they cost 65$ each?
