1972 Chrysler 120 hp (Impeller)

I have a 1972 Chrysler outboard and I put a new Impeller in it,but I think I have put it in wrong becuz its not pumping out any water,the old one was very bad but at least it shot out some water. Can anyone tell me what I might have did wrong when I put the new one in,I am mechanically inclined but this has got me puzzled (Pissed Off!) lol thanks for anyones help......hey Frank are you out There? lol

First thig to check is that the drive key is still in place. Then when you re-attach the lower unit, be certain that the water tube sits inside the white plastic collar --or black rubber collar depending upon engine.

ok I will do that Frank Thanks! The first time I did that the key wasnt in place so I tried it again, but I still think it slipped out again is there anyway to keep the key in place when I put it back togather again , to make sure it is on right should there be some resistance when I turn the shaft? Thanks again Frank I will attemp it again today

got it installed today Frank used super glue to hold the key stock in place while I slid the impeller over it! LOL Thank you so much Frank
