My electric shift has forward and reverse but no neutral.
I have a Johnson 100HP 100ESL72R I have the service manual and I've done the basic electrical tests to see if my solenoids are getting the right voltage for neutral and reverse.
I've verified the shifter provides the correct voltage to the green and blue wires, and I've also disconnected the shifter fed wires and applied voltage directly to the green and blue leads-cranking the motor to verify which way the prop turns with voltage applied to the respective wires.
Forward works, Reverse works, the prop doesn't stop spinning when I apply voltage to the green wire. It goes back to forward.
Update - I retested my solenoids- reverse 6ohms, neutral is 0. so my neutral solenoid is shorted and I will replace it or find the short.
