Been getting the old girl goig and thanks for the help here and there to everyone that has given advise.

One of the last few problems is there appears to be no water coming out of the tell tale. I have replaced the impeller but Im thinking it may need a full waterpump kit. I looked the manual over from one end to the other and I can find nothing about a thermostat. Is it possible there is a closed thermostat somewhere on the motor blocking waterflow?

Thanks Chuck

Before removeing the water jacket. those motors don't particularly like muffs. they prefer to be submerged in a barrel, or tank, you have to have the water covering atleast 1/2 the leg, they do not have self priming water pumps. there should be droplets or mist coming out the exhaust relief ports on the back of the leg.

Before you take the cylinder head water cover off to clean up that thermostat, be sure to buy a new gasket for it - #0315538.
