I have just purchased a 1972 Boston Whaler 13' "Sourpuss Model" with a 40 H.P. "402" Mercury from the original owner, and it's all there, and has not been jerked with and is remarkable condition for 40 years old. This boat, moter and trailer will recieve a no expense spared restoration to mint.
The Merc control box has a female connector on the bottom front of the control box with a rubber boot covering the fitting. Is this for a Tachometer, or a auxillery 12v power source.? I should remember this but I guess I must be having another senior moment.
Im also looking for a good parts source for the older Mercs, including a service manual.
Thanks
