Apparently previous owner had installed an automotive fuel pump as my marine replacement pump has an extra vent hole on the bottom of the pump (below the diaphram). I assume this is encase the diaphram fails the fuel can be routed to someplace other then the bilge area?

Where should the line from this hole be routed? To the carb? What type of line (tubing) should be used? Metal? flex?

Thanks for any help!

To the carb.....Its normally yellow flex tube that attaches to the carb.

Thanks! I have been wondering why I have a plug in the starboard side of the carb. I think I know the reason now. Will connect the fuel pump failure overflow line (or whatever it is called)to where the plug is now on the carb.
