1972 mercury 50 hp no spark need help

I hav e tried to start my mercury 50 hp I got a couple weeks back. I had to replace alot of the internal wires do to them so brittle and breaking when you touched them. No that there are all new wires I cant get the motor to run . I have no spark at all. my serial number on the motor is 3350213
