This boat I just bought is a cherry! Except,, a few soft spots in the floor in the back under the gas and battery. The transom is solid as a rock and so is everything else. These are just a few very small spots that crackle when I push on them. My question is: Im definetely not re doing the deck! So, with that said is there a patch work I could do or maybe plywood over? I need the cheapest route that will still render years of use.. Thanks a million!

if there is carpet in it ,see if you can lift it up and see what is under it
maybe some one put plastic under it to protect it from the gas and battery
that could be the crinkel sound

No plastic just soft fiberglass.. Really dont want to cut the whole floor out and dont think that is necessary. However, I do feel there is some work to be done! Can I dry it out and then fiber over what is there?

I don't know that that would be a good idea,if there is foam under there it will all be wet,and that could compromise the stringers, better waite for some one with more smarts than me
