i just bought a 1972 reinell 18' 165 merc cruiser stern drive... looking for a place to find little stuff like manual trim plates interior things like that... any ideas? also looking to go to an electric fuel pump... any thought on this? good idea? bad idea? i will plan to have a reserve battery on board. today was the first day out on the lake with it... overall im pretty happy. i bought the boat for 700$ it didnt run or anything. put a 60$ batt in it. and tuned it up a bit, fired right up... now i just have a few things to do to it before our next trip out on the lake... heres a few things i need. Bilge pump, fuel pump, fuel pump blank for chevy straight 6, whale tail, ladder, and a new switch for the motor in ,out... any ideas as to where i could get these things for a decent price would be great. new to boating so any help would be sweet! thanks

fuel pump engine, outdrive questions should be adderessed in the i/o forum. ebay is a place to look for old parts. i boats store carries many accessories. what make you think you need one of those horrible whale tails. put smart tabs on it. don't put the stress of lifting the boat on the old outdrive, put it where it belongs. on the boat. if you really want a whale tail, i have 2 sets in the shed, for postage. that i have removed from motors.

heres a few things i need. Bilge pump, fuel pump, fuel pump blank for chevy straight 6, whale tail, ladder, and a new switch for the motor in ,out...

Bilge Pump,.... Right here at iboats,.....

Fuel Pump,..... Your local NAPA, Part # 18-7278,..... Forget about going Electric,... It's Not worth the Effort,+ Rewireing....

Fuel Pump Blank for chevy straight 6,.... see above....

Whale Tail,.... Ayuh, I'm with TD,....... Forget it,+ buy Smart Tabs........Much Better Idea.....

Ladder,.... Probably available Right here at iboats.....

New Switch for the motor in ,out,..... For the Trim,..??..??.... I Doubt it's the Switch,.... But it Might be...... Any momentary Switch will Work.....
But I'd do some Diagnosistic Work 1st......
