Welcome to iboats! You'll probably not find a manual for the boat. However, an OEM service manual for your motor is worth it's weight in gold. You can often find them on ebay or here http://www.outboardbooks.com/ They are pricey though but trust me, I had one for my '73 Johnson and it was awesome. Much better than the generic Seloc or Clymer manuals.

Hello, dont know if you are still following this post or not, but I was wondering what size propeller you had on your motor and how it is running? I have the same boat and a 65hp johnson, but only runs 5-7mph. I have a 13.75x15 michigan wheel aluminum prop on it and I was hoping yours was different and running a whole lot better than mine so I could compare notes and change out the prop. Thanks!

Farns,
If you are only getting 5-7 mph with that 65hp you have some motor issues.
If the motor is revving up at full throttle but not going fast, you prop hub is spun.
If it's not revving up, then you'll have to describe what it's doing to even think of a diagnosis.

Just an FYI, that boat would probably move 5+ mph with a 6.5hp! I'd say you should be in the upper 30's with a 65.
