1973 130hp. Chrysler out board

i have a what i think is a 130hp. Chrysler outboard ,my ? is is the rotor button removable .this is a Distr. without points i guess you would call it an ignition module or Breakerless not sure ,but like my ? asked is the rotor button removable and how is this done ,or should i just clean it seems to have a carbon build up on it or maybe carbon trail .what is the best solution to this problem thank you E-mail at eliwebber1952@yahoo.com .or in this eorum under IKE1952...

Thye rotor button nis held into the hole by the spring. You can turn it and pull but very likely will damage the spring. Just clean the carbon button.

You have an electronic distributor and the module that replaces the points is an electric eye. The shutter on the rotor alternately clears and blanks the eye causing an electric pulse each time that signals a dump transistor in the CD box.
