weak spark , cannot go on plane.. major overhaul.<br />engine rebuilt, to bring compression up, new coils last year, new pack last year, new pack this year as well, changed the stator and even the flywheel suspecting weak magnects..<br />the spark will jump the gap up to 1/2 in open air but a very weak one.. I am at a loss.. when I put the wires from the stator charge coils onto the pack, the voltage is about 60 volts and less going to the coils (so much for th weak spark), I read 300 volts with the stator wires not connected (readings are about 680 ohm. is there an ohm meter test for the pack? two packs can't all be bad.. The stator was replaced with another used one or proper readings, should a new one be on the list?<br />nothing else to look at? is there a a resistance reading for the coil secondary? I am getting about 1.5 K to ground, and close to 0 on the primary winding...<br />(should have stayed with merc.).<br />suggestions welcome.<br />stan
