1973 Evinrude 18304A 18hp

First of all hello everyone. Now to the meat and potatoes.
I have a 1973 18304A that I am having trouble with.
If I get it adjusted to idle well, it will not run after half throttle. It starts cutting out and eventualy dies. If I get it adjusted to run well past half throttle, it will not idle. I got inpatient and started tinkering with it and now I cannot get it to start at all. ( I believe I may have something assembled wrong with the fuel pump.) If someone has a schematic of the fuel pump, I would appreciate that.

I went out this morning to try to start it and now I can't get my electric starter to work. This may be a long series of posts trying to get this thing running.

it sounds to me like you have a high speed jet clogged, it is running fast on the misadjusted low speed jet, and then floods at idle.

You are the man that I was told to look for by browning gold 12 on another forum that I am a member of.
Now do you have anything showing the proper assembly of the fuel pump.
