Hello,

My power trim is the two cylinder with the long slender pump set-up. I had to rewire the motor, but i was told the pump had been rebuild. Since i went into one cylinder i discovered this to be false. I replaced the orings in the Tilt cylinder, but was unable to take the trim cylinder cap off due to someones abuse of the spanner wrench holes. I put it all back togeter after rewiring and it worked on the bench, but with the full load of the motor it will only trim or tilt to about 15 degrees. I can assist it and will raise to the highest level but fall rapidly when the trim control is released. My guess is that something is amiss in the pump. Does anyone have experience here to help with what i need to do. Where can i get a rebuild kit???

The original oring repair kit is 172575. Check with your dealer to see if it is available anymore.

My only hope is a jack plate. They no longer make any parts for this set up. They were only made for a few years and they switched to the inboard style setup they use today. Thanks for the help
