Hello, I ordered the Michigan Wheel prop for my 20R73 Johnson Seahorse. Per the iboats site, this is a replacement prop for the pin drive, non-through hub exhaust. I just tried to put the prop on and it does not fit. It goes on the driveshaft fine, but the prop nut will not go on correctly. The nut that secures the prop will not allow the cotter pin to pass through as the driveshaft the nut does not seat correctly. The old prop (Johnson 383629), had a small recess in the end for the prop nut and the Michigan Wheel prop does not. Am I supposed to order a new prop nut to use this prop or did I do something wrong?

Thanks,
Robert

Embarrassed to say it, bit I figured it out. The original prop has a deeper hub than the MW prop. So I figured out it had to fit. The issue was a bent drive pin. It was bent enough that the prop would not sit flush. I put in the new drive pin, mounted the prop, and the nut went on fine.

Way to go. Sometimes folks just throw up their hands "won't fit".
Sometimes you need to investigate why?
