1973 Johnson 50hp piston?

Hello,

I have a 1973 Johnson 50hp with the top piston burned out... looks like I lost the ring and so it needs to be bored out to 030 over size piston. Of course, I cant find a 030os replacement piston for it. I can find the rings though....

Any of you know anyone with 1 or 2 of these 030os piston laying around? Used or new?

I found some old post from 2007 on here with the same problem, a few parts shops were suggested so I checked them out... no luck... no longer available.

I would call Sea-Way Marine (Seattle) at (206)937-7373. I've had good luck there before looking for similar parts.
