HI,
Can somebody guide me to where to find the manual rewind starter kit for this model??
By that I mean the spring and the shaft other parts can be reused because they are still good ...
It is different from all the others one...
Is there a way to convert it in to an over the flywheel one?
Motor starts easy just from wrapping cord around flywheel alone ...
Thanks for any help

Oh yeah while I am here motor bogs down a little at higher rpm but if I remove the hood picks right up...
Can anybody give me an hint on what it could be ?? TY

I'd suggest Ebay for parts. Probably easier to replace the whole thing. Kinda depends on what's for sale at the time. As for the RPM question, what I've read here on these forums is that style of motor is refered to as "low profile" & can actually suffocate itself with its own exhaust! Especially if the exhaust gasket under the powerhead is leaking. One guy I know actually drilled several 1/2" holes in the front & rear of the cowling to help the gasses move away from the intake. Try runnin it without the cowling & see if that helps. If not I'd probably clean the carb, check for fouled plugs, make sure it isn't flooding at WOT, etc.

I'm a little confused as to what parts you need and don't need. Is it just the rope perhaps? It has been a pretty good rewind for me and no you would not be able to replace the rewind with an over the top style. Your high speed concern - are you running it in a barrel when this happens or on the water? Best of luck. Rick.

If you look at picture what I need is the part where the rope is attached to, inside that there is a shaft and a spring, the end part of the pin broke not keeping the spring attached to the shaft/pin, so it spins freely.

Even when I run it out on the lake still it feels like it chokes it self.

Look here for your part numbers, check with a local dealer or order online. If your engine runs ok without the hood and falters with the hood on, you have an exhaust leak, check the exhaust hose going from the powerhead to the housing or a blown power head gasket.http://www.ishopmarine.com/ishop/jsp/AsplIsmCcatViewBase.jsp?&lvlCode=5&pCode=C0208481&path=BRP~A0000008~M0011976~M0012004~M0012005~C0208481&isFromCMS=false&hideAdd2CartButton=&isStandAlone=&is4CmsShop=&reqln=Unknown&reqem=Unknown&reqph=Unknown&reqFor=29&req4Browse=1&docId=&docName=&isForSupStore=false&cCatFilter=&eCatSupFldr=
