On a Sears metal nameplate:
Chassis Number:
217-5854-3 (Says to use when ordering parts)
Serial Number: 3B 104466
And just under the gas tank up top:
T-642-16A
TECUMSEH
6958125
24:1 gas
il ratio from what I'm told. I'm wondering where to buy parts, particularly a coil. Also, what oil should I use? I'm told not to use the new type of 2-cycle as it burns too hot and will damage the engine. Problem is I'm not sure how to tell the difference, another guy says to use "chainsaw oil". I bought some "2-cycle oil for air cooled engines" which lists chainsaws on the back as a recommended application but I'm not really sure how to tell "old" from "new" 2-cycle oil.
Also need a new assembly that tightens onto the transom, the parts diagrams on Sears' website suck but I think it's called "stud and bracket assembly", does this sound correct?
Thanks in advance!
Jacob
