Hello there, new to this board!

Anyway i have a 1974 4hp Yachtwin for my 22ft sailboat that was running quite well last time it was used (approx 2 years ago) but now has been laid up in storage for that time. I got it out the other day and was taking a look at cleaning the inside of old oil and goop as well as repainting the outside. However well i was inspecting the motor i noticed one of the spark plug wires was no longer connected to the spark plug cap. Is there a easy fix to this problem, and is there somewhere online i can download .pdf copies of the manuals?

welcome to iboats.
manuals are copyrighted materials, not free on line. you can see detail diagrams and parts list >>> http://shop2.evinrude.com/ext/index.aspx?s1=bf6ad09c53cead335fcfd8a6471c0f7f

i assume you mean the plug end of the wire. pull the spring out of the boot, reconnect the wire, and put boot back on.

after 2 years sitting, it is going to need a new impeller, and water pump service, also 99% the carb is going to need cleaning.

there is a lot of great info here >>> http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=299680

i also have a 1974 4 hp.
read up, then ask your questions, here. there are no dumb questions on iboats.
