Hello . . . . I was wondering if there is a tach wire (what color) in the original OMC remote control, and if not what color is it at the engine terminal, and if someone could send me a link to a wiring diagram it would greatly appreciated.

Also will this work with a vintage 2 wire tach in a 1971 Fiberform ???

Thanks in advance for the advice

Have a great Day
Dave

The OMC tach sender wire is universally gray. Between 1973 and 1977 the remote control had the gray wire folded and taped off inside the control, but the wire could be accessed through the harness. The positive and negative wires for the gauge should be connected to the ignition switch at the common ground "M" and the positive "A".

The gray wire is the only gray wire on the terminal block #7, at the engine end of the harness, shared with the yellow and gray.
