1974 evinrude lower unit removal

How do you take the lower unit off on a 1974 evinrude 25 hp? I have the bolts taken out and it pulled apart but I can't get it all the way off... And all the videos I have seen on YouTube they have had a screw on the shifting linkage and that's how they take it apart, but on mine there isn't a screw there

The shift linkage connector is behind an access panel. If you are staring at the back of the motor. On the right side of the exhaust housing/center section is a small access panel has rounded ends. Take the 2 screws out of that and behind there is the coupler for the shifting linkage. Take the bolt ALL the way out.
