model number is 70esl74m. i replaced all three coil packs and remaned the carbs. compression is 135, 130, and 140. motor cranks and idles fine in neutral and once you get going you have full throttle. the motor just wont stay running in gear at idle. it will run for a few seconds (10-15 tops) and then starts to bog down and stops but will stay runing if returned to neutral. motor is in a drum when put into gear. wot is only at the lake. i am wondering if the problem is in the timing somewhere.

Get the appropriate manual and check your "Synch/Link."
