1974 JOHNSON 9.9 PROP IMMOBILE

The prop can be moved. but with difficulty. The motor can be started, but when put in gear it immediately stalls. We believe a bearing needs to be replaced. how difficult would this job be? Do we need special tools?

When you put in gear with the engine off, does the prop spin freely by hand? Pull the plugs and try to spin the motor by hand.<br /><br />You need to give us more information before we can be of much help. And you need to get the manual for your engine. They are pretty easy to work on. I have a 75.
