1974 Mercrusier 120 Hp

This boat has not been in the water in years till last couple of days. I just bought it. After 10 min in the lake it starts to heat up to around 210 then we take her back to the trailer and home. 45 # on the oil pressure. In the drive with muffs she will stay real cool about 125My' son in law is a mechanic on autos and big trucks but this is new to him, but there is so little to this engine, it has left us scratching our heads, the only thing left that we can see is the water pump and we have taken that off and it looks good.

You need a new raw water pump impeller. When on the hose, the water pressure from the hose does the circulation.

how do I match the lower unit to the impellar part number?

Ask the parts people where you are going to buy the parts. If you plan on ordering online, then where you order from probably has a parts catalog.
Have you checked the iboats megamall? I know for a fact they sell the proper impellers.
