So far I have found this motor is to be made by Chrysler. I am new to the boating world (and this forum) I assume that not all mfg's use the same style shaft for the prop to mount to. That being said, Its mounted to a 14' lowe flat bottom alum jon. The motor runs fantastic but the 2 blade prop has seen better days. It has 8 1/4 x 8 1/4 stamped in it. I assume thats the dia & pitch.

My questions are:

If I search for props in the Chrysler section of the same year will they work with my motor?

Is there a benefit to a 3 or 4 blade prop versus the 2 blade I am currently using?

Speaking very basically a 2 blade will usually produce best speed but may struggle when loaded up.A 3 blade produces good all around performance a little better load handling.,a 4 blade usually improves low to mid range performance with slightly less top end. These details vary depending
on the brand, boat style, load etc.
Chrylser props will work on your motor. And a stock size should work if your carrying a typical load for that boat motor combination. My 89 aftermarket service manual says 2 and 3 blade props are available.either one should work
diameter may be less on the 3 thats normal.
West Bend became Chrysler in 65/66 Chrysler became Force in 85. Later Chrysler and early Force motors gearcase appears very similar.Maybe same prop. They may be able to tell if they share props in the Chrysler/Force forum.iboats does list a 8 1/2" Chrysler prop.Don't know if it is actually available.
