This engine apparantly had a pack go out. A new one was purchased from a boat dealer. Ran great for 2 months, then started cutting out and now won't start. No spark. We have went through the checklist in the service manual and can't seem to narrow it down. It seems that the pack is gone. <br /><br />1. Anybody familiar with what could cause the pack failure so soon.<br /><br />2. Both of the charge coils on the stator are cracked and a green ooze is leaking down onto the head. Is this a real problem or a cause of charge coil failure. <br /><br />3. The sensors test OK.<br /><br />4. How do you test for a short to ground in the charging system. <br /><br />We are currently at a standstill. The cracked charge coils and the green ooze has me pointing that direction.
