Came across this on local Craigslist http://cleveland.craigslist.org/boa/1016230298.html kicking around the idea of going to look at it.

This style of hardtop is my personal dream boat, have seen them in thompson and bayliner, Just not for sale. has a 165 mercruiser in it ,
supposedly new gimbal bearing, bellows, and a carb I believe he said.

It is a 1974. current owner moved up to somthing a bit larger with an aft cabin, 3 kids.

My use would be Perch and walleye fishing on lake erie, trailered back and forth, or may check into rack storage.

Without seeing boat up close, would 2,000 seem out of line?

Does any one have something like this, and or anyone have any input on
this powerplant, I do not know what drive is in it.

it is a 34 year old boat, that is extremely under powered, personally $1,000 would be all i would offer. today's world that boat should have a 5.7 or 5.0 power plant.

I think that looks like a really cool boat. The pictures on the ad though look like they could be kinda old. I wonder how it looks in person.
