197415HP Tiller adjustment

Hi

My mate has a 1974 Johnson 15HP 2 Stoke engine. He has just converted it from remote control to tiller controlled.

The tiller is now on but it looks like it needs adjusting as the carb is not opening.

TillerIDLE.JPG shows the tiller on the lowest setting. Shouldn't the roller be positioned near the black circle?



TillerWOT.JPG shows the WOT position. Shouldn't it be close to the black circle?

Hi.

I think I have fixed it now. I took the tiller off and re-fitted it.

WOT can now be achieved. However on the lowest setting it's still like the image above,way off the plate but that doesn't matter too much. Maybe it's the design lol
