hello all, does this motor have a charging circuit of any kind that will charge the batteries or better off just to run two batteries?? thanks in advance Raven

Yes it does have a charging circuit. It should be around 6-10 amps depending on the model.

thanks rudy, how do i check to see if it is charging and where would i look?? thanks in advance Raven

When the motor is not running, the battery should have 12 volts and when running it should be around 14 volts. If the voltage dosent change between running and non-running its not charging.

If you have two yellow wires coming off the stator, one with a white stripe, they lead to a voltage regulator. You can check the regulator with an ohm meter to see if the diodes inside are good. That part is what converts the AC current to DC for battery charging.

In general you can test stator and trigger coils with an ohm meter to see if they are in spec resistance wise. Also with a special adapter (DVA) you can check charge coil, trigger and stator peak volts output to see that they work properly as well.
