I received my box of new parts today ordered from BRP. Mostly linkage pieces for the carbs to replace those that seemed worn out or wrong.
I have a question regarding the throttle-to-choke linkage.
Looking at the photo of my carbs, you will see that the throttle and choke linkages are reversed. the adjustable link is on the throttles and the fixed link is on the chokes for some reason. I have changed those. The throttle-to-choke linkage is my problem. It sometimes sticks on the adjustment screw on the bottom carb linkage where the link goes up and over the screw. If you look at the parts list you will see this link is shaped differently and is designed to physically go up and around this screw to avoid snagging on the screw head. My new part received from BRP is exactly the same as what was on the engine in the photo. It does not look like the one in the parts list. In fact the one one the engine in the photo was bent just little out of shape to help avoid snagging on the screw head. this appears to be a "field adjustment".
Was this link changed? Or did I get the wrong part, again?
