Well I just picked up a 1975 Johnson 50hp that was in unknown running condition for $100.00 Engine had great compression but no spark while trying to jump it when I bought it. Got it home, wired in an ignition switch and it fired up and runs terrific.
If you can do a compression test on it and if both are good and even then yeah $300.00 to 350.00 is a good price.
