1975 5.5 only runs w.o.t. Choke on

Hello everyone, I have a 75 eska 5.5 in great shape but it doesn't start/ run unless its at full throttle with the choke on all the way. I dismantled the carb and it was squeaky clean with no gum and a good float and needle and seat. This motor has less than 20 hours on it. I was wondering if anyone could help me with an operators and/ or a repair manual? I figure the carb is not the problem because it has never been apart and is really clean. If I get it started, it runs for about 2-3 seconds then dies. tried a fresh plug with no luck. Can anyone educate me on how to refresh the points or on what else might be causing the problem? You got a fuel delivery problem. Could be bad o-rings in the fuel line connector, cracks in the fuel line. Might have a plugged gas tank cap, or maybe you are forgetting to open the cap vent? Is this what yours looks like?
