1975 50HP Evinrude stalls out when shifting to F/R

Hi everyone, my motor runs rough and doesnt seem to have much power. I got it ideling in neutral finally but when put in forwar or reverse she dies out fast! Took off both carbs and added new kit to both. Still same result after new kits. Good compression 110 in both cylinders, and good spark tested with gap tester. Any ideas whats going on here? Thanks so much!

Make sure that you are running on both cylinders. Do a spark test. Must just 7/16th of an inch an dbright blue.

As i said above i have tested spark and there are no issues. Please help!!!!

sounds like you might have some garbage still in a low speed jet.
