Had this motor running great. But was out with it one day and it just didn't want to go wot. Seemed to be very lacking in wot response. So being the diy I let my frustration over ride my common since (kiss) I started adjusting everything I could get my fingers on. Found out later after getting it home that the filter was getting clogged with a deteriorating gas line. I checked it when it first started acting up. Problem with that was, not being familiar with this motor, I didn't go deep enough into the filter and the tinkering started. Now I can't seem to get it back to the way it was before I started messing with the adjustments. I'm a pretty decent back yard mechanic, but can't get my head around this one. Timing is real close and it idles pretty good. Pulled and rebuilt and thoroughly cleaned the carbs. Think I'm going to have to pay a real Mechanic $95 and hour to give my brain a rest. Anyone have any thoughts on my problem?

The factory manual might be your best friend, it will have all the specs and adjustments in it.

I do have Chilton's factory manual and have done everything as in the manual, except the 3000 rpm's, submerged and in gear, which has to be done in a tank or on the water. Not to crazy about attempting to make adjustments on the water though. Could be a bit precarious balancing oneself and making adjustments to the motor.
