Does anyone know what temp gauge will work on my 55HP Chrysler. Will any marine temp gauge work or is there a particular model I should look for.
I have done a lot of work on this motor and I am hoping to find everything and get it installed to take it out this weekend for the first time for a trial run and I would like to be able to monitor all of the critical functions that I can.
I already have a 7K tach (my engine should be between 5000 & 5500 rpm WOT). I already have an amp gauge to monitor voltage output..But I would sure like to have something connected to give me an accurate temp since I have not gotten the parts to rebuild my waterpump yet (It pees really well right now though or I wouldn't take a chance with it). I have two temp sending units to try out (I have two interchangeable motors), but I don't know what gauge to use that would be most accurate? Or should any marine temp gauge work?
