1975/6 115Hp & 85HP head swap

Are the heads interchangeable between a 1975 115HP and a 1976 85HP? I am hoping to use the port head from the 85HP on the 115HP.

The heads probably won't swap. The 115/135 engines are a 99.6 cubic inch block. These early 85 is a 92 cubic inch block. The difference is in the piston bore size which makes the heads different. In 1979 OMC standardized all V4 blocks at 99.6 cubes. You will need to find a head from a 99.6 bore block.

There will be an interference problem. You can bolt them on, but the pistons will hit.
