Hi All. Ive searched and searched and decided to start a post. My 1975 70hp Johnson runs awesome. She has 125 on all 3 cyls. Everything is fresh on the motor. Carbs just rebuilt, all new hoses, fuel pump, plugs, coils, etc... Heres the problem. While trying to accelerate, she boggs. Ive attempted to adjust the timing advance every possible way with no luck. Once she gets out of the hole, she runs fast and perfect. I just dont have any power coming out. I thought of prop, but I believe its the right one. wot is 5300rpms. What am I doing wrong? Are the carbs not sinced correctly or something? I cant afford to take it to the shop, and Im not afraid to try things and test. Please help. My girls want to tube. oh yea, its on a light 15' boat. Thanks

most likely it is the link n sinc, you need the manual, and follow the steps exactly. those motors have to be almost perfect.
