I bought a "Parts" distributor for my 850 and have a couple questions. The rotor is in good shape other than having a rough bearing, new bearings in hand.
1, The Trigger base has two brown wires and one black wire, mine has brown, white and black wires (see photo). What's up with that?
2, The cap (see photo) was loose within the clamp and when removed I noticed a 3/16" wider slot. I can't see any tool or cut marks, is this wear or has someone tried to set timing by rotating the cap? I did notice that the Idle screw was run in to full depth on the bracket.
I hope I don't need to repair mine, just wanted some parts in hand with the $$$ of parts out there.
