When I've selected reverse on my control box, the lever probably goes to about 45degrees backwards then clicks and thats as far as it goes. Looking in the SELOC manual, it shows the control box lever going to about 60degrees backwards. Will my reverse speed be affected by this limitation or is reverse speed generally very slow.

Reverse speed is also restricted, otherwise you could encounter problems.... extreme amount of water in boat for one.

Disconnect the shift cable from the engine shift lever to se if that's as far as the shift lever goes when the reverse gear is engaged properly with the shifter dog (spin the prop by hand to engage properly).

If that's as far as it goes, fine.... if not, then an adjustment is required.
